Special YAE event Announcements YAE event forms
Beginning with the premise that our youth are not only our future but ministers among us now, Youth Across Europe (YAE) is charged with developing programs for young people 14-18 years old to encourage their involvement in all aspects of parish life. Programs are intended to meet three specific criteria: Spirituality, Community, and Outreach.

To this end, YAE sponsors retreats and mission trips through-out the year. Each activity year commences with the YAE annual weekend for the youth; concurrent with the Convocation's annual convention. The weekend is intended to create a community for young people who share an international experience and a Christian faith through specially designed leadership and community building workshops and activities. The youth are also encouraged to participate in the life of the Convocation. At the Convention, they are welcome to present their collective YAE concerns and goal proposals for joint YAE and Convocation projects through parish selected representatives (one per parish). These representatives are also included in various convention work sessions and have voting privileges for certain Convocation issues. All of the attending convention YAE youth are welcome to join the conventioneers during worship at the opening and Sunday morning Eucharist of the convention and may prepare special songs and prayers as well.

As a result of the 2004 Annual Convocation YAE delegate proposals, the offfice of the Convocation has responded to the expressed needs of the youth by adding an additional on-line bulletin board feature to the Convocation website (http://www.tec-europe.org/phpbb). This on-line bulltetin board provides a means for the youth to keep in touch, and connected with each other, and up todate on what is going on with YAE event programming; through virtual chat sessions such as, the YAE club, Prayer Requests, Words of Wisdom, Event Coordination, Ask the Bishop, etc...

Additionally, the Convocation has created an official position of a coordinator for YAE programming. This coordinator is responsible for coordianting all inter-parish youth comunications, support and activities; including service and outreach projects. The coordinator will also support parish and mission rectors and youth leaders with the necessary resources and training as they create activity centers/programs for Junior High and High School age youth.
